We offer meat shares to those who want to purchase in bulk. We currently offer:
PORK SHARES: ACCEPTING 2023 RESERVATIONS
Our 2023 shares are available across the year. Send us an email requesting your month and we can tell you if there is availability.
reservation process: Pork shares allow you to custom cut a whole or half hog. We distribute cut sheets and schedule your meat pick-up date (at the farm) a few weeks before your processing date. If you choose to cure any meat, you will have two pick-up dates. We are happy to offer cut sheet assistance. All cut sheets will be reviewed prior to sending to butcher. Your final bill will be prepared when you pick up your meat. The final bill will not be available until the morning of your pick-up. Many people reserve half in July and half in December. We require a deposit to reserve your share and the deposit will be deducted in your final bill.
Our halves usually hang around 120lbs. If you order a half hog, you can expect about 90 to 110 pounds of meat for your freezer, depending on how you process your hog.
cost: $5/lb hanging weight (owed to farm) + processing ($125 to $165/half depending on how you cut and package your meat) + tax. Example: $5x110lb = $550 + $165 processing + 1% tax = $722
BEEF SHARES: ACCEPTING 2023 RESERVATIONS
reservation process: If you order a whole and 1/2, you will determine your cuts. If you purchase a 1/4, we determine the cuts for you so everyone sharing gets a sampling of all the cuts. If you order a whole or half, you are able to decide if you want bone-in or boneless. All steaks offered in our 1/4 are bone-in (rib, t-bone, porterhouse, sirloin).
To reserve, send us a deposit (please contact us about butcher dates first). Our beef hangs for 28 days and will be ready about a month after your butcher date. All beef comes frozen and vacuumed sealed. You will be emailed a cut sheet several weeks in advance (for whole/halves) for you to tell the butcher how to prepare your meat. When your beef is ready we will schedule your pick-up at the farm.
cost: average hanging weight is 800lbs (400lbs per side)
LAMB SHARES: ACCEPTING 2023 RESERVATIONS
reservation process: Lamb shares allow you to custom cut a whole lamb. Our lambs usually hang around 45-50 lbs.
cost: $10.00/lb HW (owed to farm) + processing (owed to processor) + 1% tax (EX: 47lb x $10.00 = $470.00 + $120 (processing) + $5.9 (tax)
