With our 4th baby arriving in June 2023, Casey is looking to stay closer to the farm and spend less time delivering product away from the farm. We are also looking to build some more consistency into our production schedule by offering a meat CSA. We often run out of items like ground beef and chicken breasts throughout the year, so we are offering discounts on popular cuts to help guide our production for the year. We will hold these products for our CSA customers to ensure you receive them monthly in exchange for your commitment to monthly pick-ups with us at our farm. Our goal is to this make a win for your family and ours!

Last fall we took a trip with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation to their private research facility on Port Isobel in the middle of the Bay. While there we learned about the importance of oysters to the health of the Bay, current environmental threats to the Bay, the history of oyster farming and the positive impact that grazing operations like ours, that do not spray agrichemicals, are to the viability of the unique ecosystem that is known as the Chesapeake Bay. We left motivated to find a way to support our oyster farmers, so we partnered with Rouge Oysters and are now carrying their oysters in our farm stores and offering a discount on fresh oysters if you join our CSA and commit to eating 2 dozen oysters a month.

If you love farming and food, there is a good chance you appreciate good wine and cider. Local wine and cider shares seasonal flavors, which are usually stored in fruit that is grown to showcase the terror. Terroir is a French term used to describe the environmental factors that affect a crop's phenotype, including unique environment contexts, farming practices and a crop's specific growth habitat. We decided that we want to support our local producers and have some fun growing our own apples, a long-time dream of Casey's. While there is much more to share here, it led us to finally plant an orchard on the farm, an idea we had from some of our earliest days of farming. The CSA includes an offering of our inaugural release of Blue Wall Cider & Wines. ‘Blue Wall’ is a name that pays homage to the past farm name that describes the farm's westerly view of Short Hill Mountain, where our orchard is located.
